Evan C. Chapman
CFI/CFII — Chapman Flight Academy

Evan holds a Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering from Northwestern State University and is currently completing a Bachelor of Science in Aviation at Liberty University. That engineering background shapes a disciplined, technical approach to flight instruction — precise, methodical, and grounded in a solid understanding of how aircraft systems actually work.
Evan's instructional experience spans both Part 61 and Part 141 training environments, including experience within USAF officer training programs. That range gives him a working understanding of both the flexible, student-paced Part 61 approach used at Chapman Flight Academy and the structured curricula used in Part 141 and military training pipelines.
Evan served over seven years in the Army National Guard as a Bandsman, holding the rank of Sergeant. That service instilled the discipline and attention to detail that carries directly into his approach to flight training — safety-first, procedure-driven, and unhurried.
Outside the Cockpit
Away from flying, Evan enjoys bowling and basketball, and can often be found around the local FBO.
